Help us improve environmental sustainability and human health by advancing science to address real-world problems. Here are some ways that you can contribute your expertise.
Join a Community of Practice
AFSI works with scientists, regulators, policy makers, and other practitioners to advance particular focus areas. If you are interested in any of these areas, express your interest, and we will notify you of relevant events and projects.
TAKE ACTIONWorkshop Faculty
Share your expertise with others. The Agriculture and Food Systems Institute conducts workshops in our programmatic areas. If you’d like to participate as faculty, please let us know.
TAKE ACTIONE-Learning Courses
As a convener and educator, AFSI offers a series of open-access e-learning courses on food safety and biosafety. We have also developed courses tailored to specific needs that are made accessible to a more limited audience. If you are interested in collaborating with us on a course or online training program, we’d like to hear from you.
TAKE ACTIONTest Our Tools
Our data tools are being updated on an ongoing basis, providing opportunities for experts to assess them to ensure they meet the needs of our community. Let us know if you are interested in supporting these critical tools for the field by testing pre-release versions.
TAKE ACTIONContribute to the Crop Composition Database
We are continually updating and expanding our Crop Composition Database (CCDB), a curated, open resource that provides data on the natural variability in composition of agriculturally important, conventionally bred crops. If you have data sets you think the CCDB Working Group should consider for inclusion, please let us know.
