2016 Korean Society of Food Science and Technology (KoSFoST)

Agriculture & Food Systems Institute staff presented during the Korean Society of Food Science and Technology (KoSFoST) Annual Meeting. The mission of the KoSFoST is to promote research and education in the science and technology of food by fostering interfaces between academia and food industry under the motto ‘industry-academia cooperation’. The KoSFoST annual meeting provides a platform for an exchange of ideas and research findings in the food science and technology community.

The theme of the meeting is “Food Science for Daily Living via Innovation and Convergence”. The scientific programs will host over 20 scientific and educational sessions with over 1,000 poster presentations, 50 exhibition booths, and other relevant activities. The meeting will feature sessions on:

  • Application of Microbial Factory Technology to Food Biotechnology: Paradigm Shift from Experience-dependent to Principle-based
  • The Dangers of Food: Toxicity and Risk Assessment of Dietary Contaminants
  • Food Science Challenge for Feeding the World in 2050
