IVACG: Combining Vitamin A Distribution with EPI Contacts: A Report of an International Vitamin A Consultative Group (IVACG) Task Force

At the request of the World Health Organization/Expanded Programme on Immunization (WHO/EPI), the International Vitamin A Consultative Group (IVACG) assembled a task force to (a) review available data on the optimal dose for vitamin A administration with EPI visits; (b) review the effect of vitamin A on the immune response to EPI antigens from published and unpublished studies; (c) identify additional studies that need to be conducted; and (d) prioritize these needed studies. This report details their findings and recommendations.
