Seminar and Meeting of the OECD Expert Group on BioPesticides (EGBP) and Annual Meeting of the OECD Working Party on Pesticides (WPP)

    February 24, 2026-February 27, 2026
    OECD Conference Centre
    Paris, France

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) helps governments implement safer pesticide practices while maintaining agricultural efficiency. The OECD Expert Group on BioPesticides (EGBP) and the Working Party on Pesticides (WPP) support governments in assessing and mitigating risks from agricultural pesticides and in developing tools for health and environmental risk management. The OECD’s activities focus on both chemical and biological products used in agriculture and related areas to control weeds, pests, and diseases. The Expert Group and Working Party involve OECD member countries, observer countries, as well as recognized observer organizations–including the Agriculture & Food Systems Institute (AFSI).

This year’s meeting of the OECD EGBP and WPP took place on February 24-25, 2026 and February 26-27, 2026, respectively. Dr. Andrew Roberts, representing AFSI, attended the meeting in person and contributed to the discussions, while Dr. Bhavneet Bajaj attended virtually.
