NanoRelease Food Additive Workshop

The workshop sought to advance the state of the science of measurement methods characterizing the release of ingested engineered nanomaterials from food and absorption by the body. Specifically, the event aimed to:

• Provide expert peer review and stakeholder feedback to five task groups preparing white papers on key aspects of the issue;
• Inform the State of the Science authors in development of their evaluation; and
• Begin the task of identifying gaps in methods relative to providing critical data to inform risk assessment or risk management.
