Experimental Biology (EB) is a multidisciplinary, scientific meeting features plenary and award lectures, pre-meeting workshops, oral and posters sessions, on-site career services and exhibits of an array of equipment, supplies and publications required for research labs and experimental study. EB is an annual meeting comprised of over 14,000 scientists and exhibitors representing six sponsoring societies and multiple guest societies. General fields of study include anatomy, biochemistry and molecular biology, investigative pathology, nutrition, pharmacology, and physiology. EB 2016 is open to all members of the sponsoring and guest societies and nonmembers with interest in research and life sciences. The majority of scientists represent university and academic institutions as well as government agencies, non-profit organizations and private corporations.

Program

Dr. Dave Gustafson, of the Agriculture & Food Systems Institute, presented on sustainable nutrition as part of a special food systems sustainability symposium sponsored by the American Society of Nutrition at EB 2016. The session brought together experts from academia, government, and industry – each presenting a shared vision for more effective partnership and collaboration between the nutrition and agricultural science communities. Discussions started there are now focused on a multi-author publication intended to facilitate much broader collaboration within the crucial intersection of these historically-independent research domains.
